GDA presents three new academic publications

The General Directorate of Archives (GDA) has three new academic publications. The works focus on historical figures and archival studies.
The publications follow the GDA’s periodic call for research papers. The call invites studies on a wide range of topics in public activity and archival practice.
Deputy Director General Endrit Musaj attended the event. Representatives of the State Archives Agency of Kosovo (SAAK), Bekim Aliu and Habibe Qovanaj, also took part. Academics, archivists, students, and researchers were present as well.
Endrit Musaj said the publications contribute to Albanian historiography. He invited interested scholars to apply and submit proposals under the criteria set by the GDA.
In his address, Bekim Aliu praised the ongoing cooperation with the GDA. He highlighted the annual publication of the journal “Albanian Archives.” The journal stands as a cultural product that reaches beyond national borders.
Habibe Qovanaj presented the content of the archival journal. It is the only journal of its kind across Albanian-speaking territories. For the ninth year, the publication brings together papers from the National Conference on Archival Studies. Researchers and archivists from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Montenegro contributed to the volume.
Two of the newly published works appear as monographs or document collections. They focus on key personalities and historical developments.
