Grubi: Tirana, Skopje and Pristina should be more coordinated, they should support Rama’s initiative in the Council of Europe

The First Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Artan Grubi gave an interview for Kosova Press talking about the initiative of the Prime Minister of Albania related to the accusations against the former leaders of the KLA, as well as the influence of Russia in North Macedonia.
Grubi says that the example of North Macedonia should be taken as regards the issue it had with Greece and Bulgaria, the solution of which paved the way for the country towards the European Union.
“The political elite in Kosovo and the political elite in Serbia should take the example of North Macedonia as well as Greece and Bulgaria in closing the bilateral disputes in order to pave the way for the future. There is no other solution for the open issue in Southeast Europe between Pristina and Belgrade without the recognition of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo by the Republic of Serbia. This is the final result that we support and it is the only one that we accept”, says Grubi.
He emphasizes that Kosovo should open its perspective for membership in NATO and the European Union, while adding that they support the achievement of these aspirations.
“Kosovo cannot remain the most isolated country in Europe, Kosovo must open its perspective for membership in NATO, it must open its perspective for membership in the European Union and for this, it has our absolute support, without any doubt and we are in 100% availability of the agenda and the cause of the Albanians in Kosovo to achieve these aspirations, including dialogue with Serbia, again taking the example of North Macedonia or Bulgaria. Difficult decisions bring benefits for the citizens of Kosovo but also for the citizens of the entire Western Balkans,” he added.
The number two in North Macedonia says that Pristina, Tirana and Skopje should have a better coordination in foreign policy, despite theb fact that they are late in these efforts.
Here he also mentions the initiative of the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, in his request to reject the accusations of organ trafficking, which were approved a few years ago in the Council of Europe within the framework of Dick Marty’s report.
“Prishtina, Tirana and Skopje should coordinate much more in foreign policy, in particular in defense of the values of the liberation war of the Kosovo Liberation Army but also of the efforts of all Albanians in South-Eastern Europe, for freedom, justice, equality, and independence in Kosovo as well as mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia. This coordination of our activities is a necessity and I appreciate that we are late in these efforts and I would have supported the initiative whether it came from Prime Minister Kurti or Prime Minister Rama, since they have always supported us. No harm can come to Kosovo from Skopje or Tirana, on the contrary, it will have absolute support in any regional, continental or global initiative”, says the Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia”, he says.
According to Grub, this initiative should be strongly supported by Kosovo institutions and political parties.
