Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, met with the Speaker of the Assembly of North Macedonia, Talat Xhaferi, who is expected to be the first Prime Minister of North Macedonia.

Hasani’s meeting with Xhaferi comes within the framework of the visit that the Albanian chief diplomat is conducting in North Macedonia.

“With the Speaker of the Assembly [of North Macedonia] Talat Xhaferi who will be the first Albanian Prime Minister of North Macedonia. I assured him of my personal and Albania’s support in this task that he will soon take on,” Hasani wrote.

“We support and encourage the continuation of North Macedonia’s efforts and achievements in building a functional multi-ethnic society based on the full implementation of the Ohrid Framework Agreement and the Law of Languages,” concluded Albanian chief diplomat after the meeting.
