Hasani visit the Tower of Heroes ‘Gërvalla’ in Deçan

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, is on a three-day regional tour, visiting Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Montenegro.

At the beginning of this three-day tour, Hasani was received by Kosovo’s counterpart, Donika Gërvalla-Schwarc, at the Morina border point. Following this, Hasani visited the Tower of Heroes ‘Gërvalla’ in Dubovik, Deçan.

“Honored to commence my visit to Kosovo at Dubovik of Deçan, within the Tower of Heroes ‘Gërvalla.’ Just days away from the 42nd anniversary of the assassination attempt by Yugoslav criminals on Jusuf and Bardhosh Gërvalla and Kadri Zeka, who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Kosovo,” Hasani wrote in a social media post.

Kosovo marks the initial stop, where Minister Hasani firstly met with his counterpart Donika Gërvalla. A joint press conference was held, followed by meetings with President Vjosa Osmani, Speaker of the Assembly Glauk Konjufca, Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi, and representatives of various political parties.

On Wednesday, Hasani is scheduled to be received in Skopje by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani, the Speaker of the Assembly, Talat Xhaferi, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, and Deputy Prime Ministers Artan Grubi and Bojan Marichic. Additionally, Hasani will hold meetings with leaders of the Albanian political parties.

In Montenegro, on Thursday, Minister Hasani is scheduled to meet in Podgorica with his counterpart Filip Ivanović, President Jakov Milatović, Deputy Prime Minister Nik Gjeloshaj, and the National Council of Albanians, along with the leaders of Albanian political parties in Montenegro.

The tour aims to enhance and solidify cooperation between the countries, deepening and concretizing the relationships. Additionally, it focuses on further developing good neighborly relations. The visits will specifically address bilateral relations, security issues, and the future of the region within the European Union.
