The Albanian artistic community mourns the untimely passing of Hermon Madhi, a painter, educator, and spirited soul devoted to the visual arts.

A beloved teacher at the “Jordan Misja” Artistic Lyceum, Madhi shaped generations with his passion for painting and the history of art. He was also the grandson of the renowned artist Guri Madhi, carrying forward a legacy of artistic excellence.

The Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, shared a moving tribute to his former classmate:

“As his classmate at the Lyceum, I remember his unique style, his free mind and modern spirit, his rebellious heart—but above all, his kindness. Rest in peace, Hermon.”

His departure leaves a quiet void in the landscape of Albanian art—a silence filled with memory, inspiration, and gratitude.
