“Himara International Music Festival” takes place from August 5 to 11 in Himara

“Himara International Music Festival” comes in its first edition to bring to the public the most beautiful jazz, tango, classical and contemporary music, performed by 11 international artists.
The festival will take place from August 5 to 11, in the old village of Himara, one of the most beautiful places on the Albanian Riviera, where nature, culture and thousands of years of history come together.
“Himara International Music Festival” comes under the artistic direction of two Albanian pianists Rea Veizi and Endri Nini who have been developing their artistic activity in Europe for years.
“Our vision for this festival was to bring an activity with an international character, where a variety of musical genres were performed by very good artists, and where everyone could find themselves within the programming that the festival offers. We are happy that this year we will have five concerts, where very successful artists from Albania, France, Germany, Japan, Slovenia, Cuba will perform, such as: Ana Carla Maza, Matthias Kirschnereit, Duo Neria, Loanh Miranda and the Berlin Quartet -Tokyo. Also, there will be works performed for the first time in Albania.
Our desire and goal is for the festival to become a tradition in Hiamra, where through an interesting artistic presentation of a high level, we create a cultural alternative for the vacationers of Himara, as well as attract art-loving tourists not only from Albania but also abroad, placing Himara in the European cultural panorama”, say Rea Veizi and Endi Nini.
The first edition of the “Himara International Music Festival” will be held in the Church of All Saints, in the old village of Himara. This church dates back to 1775 and fits best with the desire of the two directors of the Festival to unite music with the cultural heritage of the country to bring five magical nights to the public.
