The American outlet Huffpost has listed Albania among the top holiday destinations for 2026.

Every year, American tourists flock to well-known destinations such as Paris and Rome. However, many emerging destinations are expected to attract more visitors in the coming years, according to Caroline Bologna in Huffpost.

Experts recommended a range of trending destinations for 2026, from Guatemala and Norway to the Albanian Riviera. Huffpost ranked Albania among the 25 best countries to spend holidays next year.

The Albanian Riviera

Travel expert Esther Susag described Albania as one of Europe’s last hidden gems. She said 2026 will be the year it gains wider recognition.

The Albanian Riviera offers clear blue waters and stunning coastlines similar to Greece and Croatia, but at a more affordable price and with fewer tourists. As international visitors become more aware of costs and crowded spots, Albania has emerged as an under-the-radar destination, thanks to its resorts, scenic landscapes, and rich culture.
