On the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo, the President of Hungary, Dr. Tamás Sulyok, sent a congratulatory message to the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, extending his warmest wishes to her and all the citizens of Kosovo.

In his message, President Sulyok reaffirmed Hungary’s support for the development and integration of the Western Balkans, recognizing the significant political, economic, and social reforms that Kosovo is undertaking on its path toward European Union membership.

“We are confident that the necessary reforms for achieving candidate status will be successfully completed as soon as possible,” he stated in the communiqué of the Office of the President of Kosovo, emphasizing Hungary’s commitment to supporting this process.

Furthermore, President Sulyok expressed his satisfaction with the steady development of bilateral relations between Hungary and Kosovo, particularly in the field of economic cooperation. He highlighted that high-level exchanges between the two countries have contributed to strengthening mutual friendship and collaboration.
