Jens Stoltenberg calls on Kosova and Serbia to reduce tensions and continue with the normalization of talks mediated by the EU

In his speech at the joint conference with the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic, Stoltenberg reaffirmed NATO’s unwavering commitment to KFOR in Kosova, emphasizing that the peacekeeping mission has an impartial task amid the heightened tensions between Prishtina and Belgrade.
“We have increased our presence and will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all communities in Kosova.”
While, the Montenegrin president Milatovic said that the stability of the Western Balkans is strategically important to NATO, at a time when the tensions between Kosova and Serbia have been high recently.
“The stability of the Western Balkans, which is strategically important to NATO, remains a priority for Montenegro, and the joint efforts of the EU and NATO are even more important at the time of increased tensions that we see in north of Kosova,” said Milatovic.
