The U.S. aviation unit from NATO-led Kosova Force (KFOR) has supported firefighting operations in Albania and Kosova today.

Three helicopters, equipped with water buckets, were deployed—two to Albania and one to Babaj Boka near Gjakova—to help control the fires and prevent their spread.

KFOR’s assets continued their assistance until the fire risks were managed.

KFOR is dedicated to ensuring a safe environment for all communities in Kosova and maintaining freedom of movement. It acts as the third line of security, after the Kosova Police and EULEX.
