The four Serbian members who were in charge of establishing the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian majority have been relieved of their duties. The decision was taken today, May 3, by the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi.

  “After yesterday’s presentation in Brussels of the draft statute of the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian Majority, according to the responsibilities that were given to the Management Team in the Brussels agreements of 2013 and 2015, this team is now itself without status.

Therefore, today on May 3, 2023, I have made a decision to release from office the members of this management team, consisting of Danijela Vujičić, Jelena Bolovic, Igor Kalamar and Dejan Radojković”, writes Minister Krasniqi in a post on Facebook.

The Prime Minister of Kosova, Albin Kurti, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandër Vucic, met yesterday in Brussels, within the framework of the dialogue for the normalization of relations between the two countries, mediated by the European Union.

In Brussels, there were opposing positions on the establishment of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority, but there was an agreement on the Declaration of the Disappeared since the war.

The head of the European Union’s foreign policy, Josep Borrell, said that Kosova and Serbia took a positive step with the approval of the declaration on missing persons during the war, as well as with the start of negotiations for the Association of Serb-majority municipalities, expressing his concern with the situation in the north of Kosova.
