SerbianKosova invited for the first time to the COP28 Conference of the Parties
President of Kosova Vjosa Osmani has accepted the official invitation from the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for the meeting of leaders within the framework of the COP28 Conference.
The COP (Conference of the Parties) is a regular annual high-level conference organized by the United Nations with a focus on climate change.
According to an announcement from the Presidency, it is the first time that Kosova has been invited to the meeting of the leaders of the COP, since the establishment of this initiative.
On this occasion, President Osmani hosted the non-resident Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Nabila Al Shamsi, who personally delivered the invitation for this conference.
Osmani emphasized that this is an extremely important moment for Kosova, since it is the first time that the Republic of Kosova is being officially invited and treated as an equal party.
She emphasized that Kosova is fully prepared to engage as actively as possible in issues related to the fight against climate change and that, as such, Kosova should be part of every table where this important topic not only for our country is discussed.
