Kosova Police has announced heightened security measures across the country, including in the northern regions, where recent attacks by Serbian groups have occurred.

In a media statement, the Police confirmed that planned operations will increase police presence and activities to ensure greater security for all citizens, without distinction.

The operational plans will focus on strengthening police visibility on the ground, conducting additional patrols in critical areas, establishing more checkpoints, and fostering enhanced cooperation with the public.

“Through both operational and intelligence efforts, the Police aim to maintain public order, prevent criminal activity, and investigate and hold accountable those who threaten security, law, and the constitutional order,” the statement reads.

The primary goal of these operations, the Police emphasized, is to protect citizens and their property, as well as public and institutional assets.

The Police also urged citizens to continue sharing information that could contribute to improving security across the country.

“Given the crucial role of citizen cooperation in achieving our security goals, the Police thank the public for their support so far and encourage them to keep providing information that helps enhance security for all,” the statement concluded.
