Kosovan Prime Minister Albin Kurti, along with Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla, met with Giovanni Pietro Barbano, head of the European Union Rule of Law Mission (EULEX).

Kurti emphasized the importance of the relationship with EULEX as a secondary security responder in the country, particularly in cooperation with the Kosovo Police.

According to the announcement, Kurti expressed the willingness to continue collaboration in areas such as forensics through the Institute of Forensic Medicine and the Kosova Correctional Service.

The issue of fake news and disinformation was also discussed, deemed highly concerning.

It was further highlighted that ethnic incidents have been noticeably declining, especially during this government mandate. Both parties remain committed to the inclusion of all communities and fostering broader interethnic harmony.

Prime Minister Kurti thanked EULEX chief Giovanni Pietro Barbano for the meeting, underscoring the importance of strengthening cooperation.
