Kosovan President, Vjosa Osmani Meets U.S. Envoy for the Western Balkans

Kosovan President Osmani met with Alexander Kasanof, the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Balkans, to discuss strengthening the alliance with the United States and the importance of close cooperation to achieve shared strategic objectives.
Osmani expressed her deep gratitude for the continuous support of the U.S. for Kosova, highlighting the need for a strategic dialogue with the U.S. as a significant step in enhancing the partnership.
In this context, Osmani underscored the importance of Kosova’s NATO membership, emphasizing that it would bolster the country’s security and regional stability.
The meeting also addressed the potential for deepening collaboration in various areas of mutual interest, including defense and security.
During his stay in Kosova, Kasanof will also meet with opposition leaders and representatives of civil society.
This visit marks Kasanof’s first trip to Kosovo as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, a position he was appointed to a few months ago, as part of his tour of the Western Balkans.
