Kosova’s Path to Integration: Bislimi Meets Senior EU Official

First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development, and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosova, Besnik Bislimi, met with Zuzana Michalcova Sutiakova, Head of the Western Balkans and Southeast Europe Division at the European External Action Service (EEAS). During their discussion, Bislimi highlighted the progress Kosovo has made, particularly in the economic sector.
He noted that the country had created around 75,000 new jobs, emphasizing a focus on the employment of women and youth. Bislimi also pointed out that the unemployment rate had decreased from 23.8% at the start of his administration to just 10.8%.
In his conversation with the EU official, Bislimi addressed current events and developments in Kosova and the broader region, as well as the country’s ongoing journey toward European integration.
Additionally, he stressed the need to lift unjust measures that remain in effect, despite a recommendation from the High Representative of the EU’s Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, who had urged their removal in his report.
