TIRANA, March 30 – Kosova Prime Minister Albin Kurti met French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris on Friday. The two leaders held a working lunch and a two-hour discussion focused on Kosova’s European Union integration, security, and defense.

Kurti described the meeting as warm and substantive. He said the talks addressed cooperation, regional security, defense, economic development, and steps toward EU membership. The prime minister emphasized the importance of strengthening Kosova’s institutions to meet integration goals.

The leaders also discussed Kosova’s engagement with international organizations. Kurti highlighted NATO’s continued role in Kosova and the need for close coordination with transatlantic allies. He added that the discussions covered measures to maintain stability and security in the Balkans.

Relations with Kosova’s northern neighbor featured prominently in the meeting. Kurti said both leaders reviewed ways to bolster defensive capacities and ensure national security. He stressed that cooperation with France will support Kosova’s strategic goals, regional stability, and European integration efforts.
