Kosovo and U.S. Reaffirm Commitment to Defense and Partnership
President Vjosa Osmani met today with U.S. Congresswomen Claudia Tenney and Chrissy Houlahan. They were accompanied by Anu Prattipati, the Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo, and a delegation from the U.S. Congress.
During the meeting, they discussed the current political and security situation in Kosovo. They also focused on strengthening the strategic partnership between Kosovo and the United States. Key topics included defense cooperation, investments, and deepening bilateral relations.
President Osmani emphasized the importance of the U.S.-Kosovo strategic partnership. She stated that this partnership is essential for ensuring long-term stability in the Western Balkans.
Furthermore, she highlighted that whenever the United States has taken an active role in the region, sustainable solutions have been achieved and significant progress has followed.
In addition, the President thanked the U.S. for its continuous military presence in Kosovo. She stressed that American troops have played a key role in maintaining security and stability during the most difficult times.
President Osmani also noted that U.S. support, provided since Kosovo’s most challenging days, proves the strength of the unshakable friendship and the shared commitment to peace and prosperity in the region.
Finally, she expressed her gratitude to the Congresswomen for their support. She reaffirmed that close cooperation with the United States is vital for Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations, which remain a firm national goal.
