ZaNa Literature Festival, which takes place in Kosovo, has opened the call for poetry. In this third edition of the ZaNa festival, the theme of self-reflection has been selected. 12 poets, who will have brought the most accomplished poems on this topic, regardless of the style of the form will be selected.

The festival is not limited to Kosovo, but calls for participation to poets from the entire Balkan region, and according to the organizers, so far there has been a high number of applicants from Slavic languages as well.

Each poet will be able to apply by sending 3 to 5 poems until February 18th to apply, regardless of the age of the poet, or the fact if the poems have been published before, thus bringing a variety of age and style.

This is the first time that the ZaNa Literature Festival has a broader approach, where in addition to local authors, there will also be foreign authors.

All the poets selected by the evaluation committee will be published in the poetry book “ZaNa” and the translation of the selected poems into English, Albanian and Serbian will be offered.

One of the organizers, Nora Prekazi, says that the ZaNa Festival is a new opportunity to express oneself, to exchange ideas and creativity, enabling a return of the value and importance of poetry in literature and in people’s lives.
