The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla, had a meeting today with her Albanian counterpart, Igli Hasani, who is on his first official visit to Kosovo.

She thanked Minister Hasani for the visit and the fraternal conversation.

“Together with my counterpart and our two delegations, we spent the evening in Dubovik, the village in which the Gërvalla family has hosted friends for decades in good times and in difficult times. I thanked Minister Hasani from the bottom of my heart for the very warm and fraternal visit and conversation at the Tower of Gërvallaj, the Museum House of Jusuf e Bardhosh Gërvalla. The message conveyed by this visit to this country and on the eve of January 17, the 42nd anniversary of the assassination in Germany, goes far beyond an official visit of a Minister of Foreign Affairs to a neighboring country”, Gërvalla writes on Facebook.

She further said that the Republic of Albania is the dearest and most important partner of the Republic of Kosovo.

“The deepening and strengthening of our excellent relations in all fields is not only the legacy of our forefathers, but contributes to the development of both our countries and the long-term stability and peace of our region”, Minister Gërvalla further stated.

Today Hasani started the official meetings in Kosovo as part of the three-day tour in the region.
