Kosovo Modernises Justice Services with EU and German Support

The Ministry of Justice in Kosovo launched new certification and licensing modules today. The modules cover mediators, bankruptcy administrators, notaries, and private enforcement agents.

The Office of the Prime Minister, GIZ, the European Union, and the Government of Germany supported the project.

Minister of Justice Albulena Haxhiu opened the event. She said the project is a major step toward modernising services. It strengthens professionalism, integrity, and transparency.

“This system is a promise kept to citizens. It will deliver justice that is more efficient, more accessible, and based on high professional standards. Today we start a new process. Licensing will not be just a procedure but a guarantee for safe and quality services,” Haxhiu said.

The digital licensing system will simplify procedures. It will provide fast verification. It will maintain legal standards. The new modules will certify professionals based on merit and proven skills. This will increase accountability and public trust.

German Ambassador Jörn Rohde, Prime Minister’s Adviser Lulëzon Jagxhiu, and GIZ project leader Vanessa Sabelski also spoke. They praised close institutional cooperation and support for justice reforms.

The Ministry of Justice remains committed to strengthening the rule of law. It will improve service quality. It will bring Kosovo closer to European standards in governance and justice.
