Kosovo’s Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti met with KFOR Commander, Major General Enrico Barduani, ahead of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte’s planned visit to Kosovo on March 11.
The meeting focused on preparations for the visit, security issues, and continued cooperation between Kosovo’s institutions and NATO’s mission.
“The Government of Kosovo works closely with NATO’s KFOR mission to strengthen security and peace in the region,” said a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
Rutte is set to visit Kosovo on March 11, following his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and will be welcomed by Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani. He is expected to be accompanied by ambassadors from NATO member countries who are part of the North Atlantic Council.
