Kosovo Security Force Expands Capabilities Through U.S. Defense Procurement

The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, announced the handover ceremony of new armored vehicles for the Kosovo Security Force (KSF). These vehicles were purchased in the United States of America.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, the KSF Commander, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, and the U.S. Military Attaché in Kosovo, Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Shaw.

Kurti described the procurement as evidence of Kosovo’s strong partnership with the United States. He emphasized that the new armored vehicles strengthen the country’s defense capabilities. According to him, this acquisition marks an important step in reinforcing the armed forces.

Kurti stated that the Kosovo Army will continue to develop in close cooperation with the U.S. Army. This cooperation includes training, military education, and the development of doctrine based on the U.S. model.

He added that the new armored vehicles are a clear sign of stable and enduring collaboration with the United States. Through equipment, training, and strategic support, the Kosovo Army aims to enhance its defense capabilities and strengthen national security.
