Sali Berisha has reacted regarding the agreement reached between Kosovo and Serbia. According to him, this agreement is an important step in the right direction.

“Kosovo and Serbia agreed on the solution of the document problem based on the principle of equality and reciprocity required by the government of Kosovo, the respective recognition of each other’s documents and the free movement of citizens. The Democratic Party has unwaveringly supported the solution of this problem created by the Serbian side on the basis of reciprocity and equality between the parties.

On this occasion, the Democratic Party, highly appreciating the contribution of the special delegates for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue of the EU and the USA, Miroslav Lajçak and Gabriel Eskobar, welcomes the achievement of this agreement as an important step in the normalization of relations between the two countries and wishes that on the basis of the principles of equality and reciprocity, universal principles in the relations between the countries, Kosovo and Serbia will successfully solve the other major problems between the two countries. Only one Balkans of sovereign and equal countries can be a region of peace, stability and integration wise in the EU and NATO!”writes Berisha.
