The European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, stated today in Tirana that the EU expects the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

Speaking to the media after being received by Prime Minister Edi Rama, as part of the European Political Community Summit taking place in Tirana, Kallas was asked what the EU expects from Kosovo and Serbia regarding the dialogue process. She replied: “We have just appointed a new EU Special Representative for the Dialogue, and we expect the normalization of relations between the two countries.”

Kaja Kallas is in Tirana for the sixth summit of the European Political Community, which is being held under the motto “A New Europe in a New World.” This marks the first time the summit is taking place in the Western Balkans, with the participation of leaders, heads of state and government from 47 European countries, along with representatives of major European and international institutions.
