Kurti for ‘Der Spiegel’: The situation in the north shows Belgrade’s panic

Kosova Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, in an interview with the German media “Der Spiegel”, spoke about the situation created in the north of Mitrovica, where several border points have been blocked by Serb barricades for days already. While there have been several incidents involving both EULEX personnel and Kosova police, Kurti has stated that tense situation in the north is due to “Belgrade’s panic”. Kurti stated that the European Union and the US exerting pressure on Serbia to choose between the West and Russia.
“The EU and the US are putting great pressure on Serbia to choose between the democratic West and Russia. It seems that Vucic wants to return Serbia to the past. But this train has left. The International Court of Justice has ruled in favor of our Declaration of Independence. There is no higher court on this planet,” said Kurti.
Tensions in the north of Mitrovica have increased this Sunday, since an amateur video published on social networks, shows that the Serbs raising road barricades in the north of Mitrovica, are armed and hold automatic rifles.
