“Serbia and Kosova should reach an agreement to improve relations before their allies are concerned about the outcome of the next US elections,” declared Prime Minister Albin Kurti in an interview for the “Bloomberg”.

Kurti emphasized the urgent need for the normalization of relations between Prishtina and Belgrade, and the de-facto recognition of the two countries by the spring of next year.

“There is a sense of urgency for the implementation of the agreement and the normalization of relations between Kosova and Serbia, focused on de-facto mutual recognition, at the latest until the spring of next year,” Kurti said.

Likewise, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the readiness to announce elections in the 4 municipalities in the farthest north of Kosova.

The holding of elections in the north was one of Serbia’s conditions, following the strongly opposed the elections by the Serb community in that area.
