Speaking about the US Intelligence report, Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, stated that “the causes of conflicts in the region are not inter-ethnic but they are instigated by non-democratic states in the region.”

“Conflicts are not inter-ethnic; it is not ethnic differences that cause conflict. We have always warned that non-democratic states in our region, not only in Eastern Europe, pose a threat to security and peace. However, no one can understand this in detail and depth like the USA. What we can do is prepare to the best of our ability with the knowledge we have. That’s why we inaugurated this State Center for Cyber Security for training that will be provided and received there,” underlined Kurti.

The latest US Intelligence report highlighted that “the Balkans are facing a challenging situation, and many dangers can threaten the security of the peoples,” while expressing serious concern about “the rise of nationalism in the region, which could lead to an increase in acts of violence in different areas of the Balkans.”
