Kosovan Prime Minister, Albin Kurti received the special representative of Germany for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin, accompanied by the Ambassador of Germany in Kosova, Jorn Rohde.

Topics of the conversation were the preparations for this year’s summit in the Berlin Process, which marks its 10th anniversary, regional cooperation and regional and European issues.

Kosovan Prime Minister thanked Sarrazin on Germany’s commitment and role in deepening regional cooperation between the six countries of the Western Balkans as equal parties.

Referring to the expectations from the next summit, Kurti  underlined the importance that the agreements reached in the Berlin Process by fully implemented, including the agreement on free movement with ID card only between Kosova and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to the Kosovan Government communique, the meeting also discussed the current developments in the country and the region, and the importance of close cooperation between the Republic of Kosova and Germany in addressing them jointly.

The Berlin Process Summit for 2024 is scheduled to be held in Berlin, on October 14, with the participation of representatives from the Western Balkans and the EU member states.
