Kurti: We Will Build 20 Football Stadiums for the Mediterranean Games

Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti stressed the need to develop Kosovo’s sports infrastructure.
First, he said Kosovo must invest seriously in football stadiums to prepare for the 2030 Mediterranean Games.
According to Kurti, the plan includes building 20 stadiums. They will be smaller in size but suitable for Kosovo’s needs and the international event, which Kosovo will host jointly with Albania.
“We need to build 20 football stadiums,” Kurti said. “They will not be as large as those in Britain. They will have 8,000 to 9,000 seats.”
He made the remarks during a panel discussion on democracy, security, and governance in Davos. Meanwhile, discussions continue on accelerating infrastructure preparations for the 2030 Mediterranean Games.
Finally, the event is expected to have a major impact on sport, the economy, and Kosovo’s international image.
