The meeting between the Special Envoy of the European Union for the Prishtina-Belgrade dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, with Prime Minister Albin Kurti and chief negotiator Besnik Beslimi has ended. In a statement to the media, Lajcak informed that the next steps for the dialogue between Kosova and Serbia were discussed at the meeting, where he emphasized the importance of this dialogue.

Furthermore, Lajçak announced that he will also visit the North of Kosovo this Thursday (May 11) to see closely how the situation is presented there.

Likewise, Lajcak has announced that on May 15 he will meet again with the two chief negotiators of Kosova and Serbia, in Brussels.

“I came to Pristina today to discuss with Prime Minister Kurti and Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi about the way forward in the normalization process, after the meeting on May 2. It is really important to have a clear understanding of the next steps.

We can only have normalization or confrontation. And we must absolutely focus on normalization. I will have the same discussion tomorrow in Belgrade. I will meet the chief negotiators, Mr. Bislim and Mr. Petković, on Monday in Brussels”, Lajçak said.

On May 12, Lajcak will travel to Serbia to meet with President Aleksandar Vucic and chief negotiator Petar Petkovic.
