Lajcak: The situation in the north of Kosova remains fragile

The European Union emissary for the Kosova-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, has said that they have worked closely with international partners to coordinate the next steps in addressing the ongoing crisis in the north of Kosova, but unfortunately the situation remains fragile.
Lajcak wrote that he spent the last two days in Brussels, where he and his team worked closely with international partners to coordinate next steps in addressing the ongoing crisis in northern Kosova.
“Unfortunately, despite the existence of clear steps to successfully reduce tensions, the situation remains fragile. I am glad of the interest of the members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, who invited me together with the Director General of DG-NEAR Gert Jan Koopman for a joint discussion about the situation, the latest developments in the Dialogue and our efforts to reduce the tensions on the ground in the north of Kosova,” he wrote.
