Master Plan for “Adem Jashari” Memorial Complex in Kosova Presented

German firm “Gerber Architekten International” has won the bid for the master plan project for the “Adem Jashari” Memorial Complex in Prekaz, Kosova, according to media KosovaPress.
The master plan includes a new walking path, the preservation of the survival house with transparent glass, the reconstruction of the observation towers in their original style, and the transformation of the ammunition factory into a visitor tower.
Kosova Prime Minister Albin Kurti stated that the goal is for the complex to embody the character of a historic landscape.
Professor Eckhard Gerber from the winning firm highlighted the project’s importance.
“I am deeply touched by this event and the entire history behind it. This project will showcase the exceptional contributions of the Jashari family and affirm Kosova’s place in the free world of democratic states,” he said.
Bekim Jashari, representing the Jashari family, emphasized that the Jashari estate is the birthplace of every martyr, veteran, and citizen who sacrificed for Kosova’s freedom.
The project is expected to complete within 22 months.
