Meeting with Miroslav Lajcak, Osmani: Early elections in the north, criminal groups to face justice

The President of Kosova, Vjosa Osmani received in a meeting the Special Envoy of the EU for the Kosova-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak.
The current political and security challenges were discussed during the meeting, with special emphasis in the north of the country, the efforts to de-escalate the situation in the north, and the need to implement the Brussels agreement and the Ohrid annex.
“President Osmani has emphasized that the institutions of Kosova are committed to overcome the current challenges together with international partners and that Kosova has demonstrated the will for de-escalation, offering the organization of early elections in the north of the country, in accordance with the legal framework of Kosova,” announces the Presidency.
President Osmani emphasized that criminal groups and individuals who used violence against the police, journalists, members of KFOR, EULEX and citizens must face justice.
“President Osmani has emphasized that Kosova remains steadfast in its aim for peace and stability in the country and the region,” it is known from the announcement of the Presidency.
