The Ministry of Culture and the Albanian-American Development Foundation AADF signed in Razma, Shkodra, the memorandum of understanding for the preparation of application files and registration of four phenomena of Albanian intangible heritage in the “Representative List of Intangible Humanities” in UNESCO.

The news was announced by the Minister of Culture, who said that “we have a difficult road ahead, but we are convinced that we will succeed, closely connected with the local community”.

“Surrounded by the wonderful nature, in Razëm, we signed the Memorandum of Understanding for the preparation of application files and registration of four phenomena of Albanian intangible heritage in the “Representative List of Intangible Humanities” of UNESCO. These are four extraordinary Albanian assets, of which we are proud and our children would not forgive us if we did not inherit them. Not only that, but we also want to share it with the world”, – said Margariti highlighting that “The ancient ritual of cattle migration ”, a very old ritual, which takes place from the North to the South of Albania,“ Xhubleta ”, this rare, wonderful dress, as a unique technology and handicraft remaking and the forms of its use and “The Epic of the Kreshniks”, sung and accompanied on lute, as a typology of the Albanian intangible spiritual heritage  make the future of our past”.
