President Ilir Meta has awarded the high title “Honour of the Nation” to the master of stage, the artist Agron Aliaj. Meta writes on the Facebook  that Aliajt’s proficiency has been distinguished for decades in every piece of national and foreign works. Meta expresses his deep gratitude for the talent and contribution made to the education of new generations of artists, who, as he says, today interpret the creations that Agron Aliaj has left as a legacy for Albanian art and culture.

“Part of a golden constellation of artists, who founded the Albanian ballet troupe with passion and sacrifice, stage master Agron Aliaj entered the history of the Opera and Ballet Theatre, not only as the first pioneer of the national ballet, but also as the figure of artistic rareness that he created and that would remain a model for later choreographers.

For decades, his mastery would stand out in every piece of national and foreign works that were staged and applauded by Albanian art lovers.

With gratitude for the rare talent and the extraordinary contribution made to the formation and education of new generations of artists, who today interpret his creations and are proud of the wonderful works he has left as a legacy for Albanian art and culture, I awarded the unforgettable Agron Aliaj, the high title “Honour of the Nation”, writes President Meta.
