On this anniversary, Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Gonxhja honored Met Bega. He called him an icon of humor and a master of witty lines. The Albanian public loved him deeply.

Met Bega was born in Tirana in 1946. He spent most of his career at the Tirana Estrada. Over the years, he won several awards.

Beyond the stage, Bega also shone in film. Audiences remember him for his roles in beloved comedies such as “Dy herë mat”, “Edhe ashtu edhe kështu”, “Stolat në park”, and “Telat për violinë”.

He passed away in 2015 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
