Miroslav Lajčák Meets U.S. Balkans Envoy, Highlights EU-U.S. Cooperation

The European Union’s Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajčák, met with the U.S. Special Envoy for the Balkans, Alexander Kasanof, during his visit to the United States.
Lajčák stated that their discussions focused on the Western Balkans, emphasizing the “excellent cooperation” between the EU and the U.S.
“My first mission in 2025 brought me to America. In Washington, D.C., I had a comprehensive discussion about the Western Balkans with the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Balkans, Alexander Kasanof. I am proud of the excellent cooperation between the European Union and the United States throughout my tenure,” he wrote.
Lajčák’s mandate as the EU Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue is set to conclude at the end of January.
