TIRANA, November 19 – The National Library of Kosova “Pjetër Bogdani” will present the documentary exhibition ‘Nga lufta në liri’ (From War to Freedom): The Liberation of Kosova in Documents, Memories, and Media) at the “Sotir Kolea” Center in Tirana.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sports of Albania and the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports of Kosova, will run from November 21 to December 5.

The week will open with a formal ceremony. During the ceremony, the National Library of Albania and the National Library of Kosova “Pjetër Bogdani” will sign a cooperation agreement. This agreement aims to strengthen existing collaboration and develop new joint projects in culture, knowledge, and heritage. The signing will take place on the afternoon of Friday, November 21.

Following the ceremony, the documentary exhibition will open to honor June 12, Kosovo Liberation Day.

The exhibition results from inter-institutional collaboration between the National Library of Kosovo, the Institute of War Crimes in Kosova, the Kosova State Archives, and the National Museum of Kosova. It features historical materials, including newspapers and media of the time, books, and personal memories of authors, witnesses, and journalists. It also presents photographs and authentic artifacts from the front, life in exile, and the return of refugees. Additionally, the exhibition includes a special documentary with archival footage and a chronological account of Kosova’s path to freedom.
