“New Children’s Home” and “Inspectorates Complex,” PM Rama: Modern spaces open two new directions for the future

TIRANA, January 29 – Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke at the International Competition for project ideas for the “New Children’s Home” and the State Inspectorates Complex. He emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in creating modern public spaces.
Rama said Albania is advancing a series of major infrastructure and architectural projects. He mentioned the new European-standard stadium, the new National Library, a new administrative office complex, the new Sports Palace, and other public works. Some of these projects are already in advanced stages, with several ready to obtain development permits and start construction.
He added that the process allows Albania to deliver modern and functional public spaces. The projects will create fully new conditions for children in need and orphans, as well as for the new inspectorates corps.
Rama also said Albania functions as an “open university” for young architects and new studios. Through cooperation with large international studios, they gain knowledge and experience not available in regular universities or standard practice.
The goal of these projects is to provide dignified, functional, and modern spaces for public services and the community. They aim to raise infrastructure standards and support future development.
Rama concluded that these projects open two new directions for the future. They offer new opportunities for children under society’s care and for the inspectorates corps, while giving young architects practical experience and international exposure.
