Nikolas Bushi is a young Albanian who has lived in the United States for years. He is attracting attention with a rare talent in Albania: ventriloquism, the art of speaking without moving the lips.

Nikolas has visited Albania several times. In October, he returned to compete on Albania’s Got Talent. He became one of the most talked-about performers in the final.

He performs with his puppet, Chris. The character is sarcastic and humorous. Nikolas says Chris is the most entertaining part of his act.

In the podcast “Flasim” with Prime Minister Edi Rama, Nikolas said his passion began about eight years ago. He found inspiration from America’s Got Talent, which he first watched in 2017. Since then, he has practiced constantly. He turned his curiosity into a profession.

Today, Nikolas sees himself as a promoter of ventriloquism in Albania. The art was almost unknown in the country.

Nikolas says he is working on new projects. He also hints at possible surprise collaborations in the future.
