Nikolla congratulates the 15th anniversary of Independence: Euro-Atlantic support for Kosova

The Speaker of the Assembly of Albania, Lindita Nikolla delivered today the congratulatory message on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the declaration of Kosova’s Independence.

In her congratulation, Nikolla appreciated the fight of the KLA soldiers and the Kosovar people, as well as the contribution of the US and the EU to the independence of Kosova.

“Like today, 15 years ago, in that winter of hope in 2008, Kosovo declared independence. The 200-year-old parchment on which the text and signatures of the Kosova Declaration of Independence are “embroidered” is the symbol of the titanic efforts of the Kosovar brothers for liberation, freedom, independence and justice. Kosova’s independence is the logical continuation of free Kosova. Free Kosova is the result of the liberation war of the KLA and the Kosovar people, the result of the resistance and peaceful efforts of the Kosovar people and leaders to sensitize the US, EU and other countries of the civilized world. All these factors made possible the liberation and freedom of Kosova to become a test of the conscience of the free world in respect to an oppressed people,” Nikolla writes.

Also, Nikolla guaranteed that the Assembly of Albania is in support of the truth and the right for the liberation war of the KLA.

The Assembly of Albania is in support of the truth and the right for the liberation war of the KLA, Euro-Atlantic integrations, increased recognition and membership of Kosova in international organizations, the dialogue advised by the US and the EU and mediated by the EU for the normalization of relations with Serbia and increasing Kosova’s contribution to peace and security in the region, continent and beyond. On this historic day, I express my congratulations and that of the Assembly of Albania to the Assembly of the Republic of Kosova, to the President Glauk Konjufca as well as to the people of Kosova,” Nikolla writes.
