No quorum reached, Kosova presidential vote session adjourned

TIRANA, March 6 – The session to elect the new President of Kosova was halted as opposition MPs did not return to the Assembly, with less than an hour remaining before the constitutional deadline at midnight.
Only 66 deputies were present, while 54 were absent. The election requires a minimum of 80 MPs in the chamber.
Assembly Speaker Albulena Haxhiu repeatedly called on opposition MPs to attend. In the absence of the required quorum, she suspended the session until attendance conditions are met.
