TIRANA, Nvemebr 27 – President of the Republic of Kosova, Vjosa Osmani, began an official visit to Shkodër this Thursday. The visit takes place during nationwide November festivities. It highlights the symbolic unity between Kosova and Albania.

President Osmani was welcomed at the Shkodër Municipality by Mayor Benet Beci. They held a one-on-one meeting to discuss cooperation and the significance of these historical dates.

Following the municipal meeting, President Osmani’s agenda continues with visits to two major cultural institutions in the city. She will tour the “Marubi” National Museum of Photography, which preserves the visual memory of the Albanian nation. She will also visit the “Place of Testimony and Memory” Museum, which documents persecution under the communist regime.

A key moment of the visit will be a closed meeting with representatives of Shkodër’s religious communities. The city is known for its interfaith harmony.

The visit will conclude with a dedicated meeting with local women. Discussions are expected to focus on the role of women in society and shared challenges.
