The US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, James O’Brien, has asked Kosovo and Serbia to implement the basic Brussels agreement and the Ohrid annex.

O’Brien at the media conference, after the meeting with the leaders of the Western Balkans in Skopje, said that the USA strongly supports the Ohrid agreement and called on the parties to engage in its implementation within the framework of the dialogue.

“We strongly support the roadmap that was approved in Ohrid, last March. We believe that both countries should operate within the dialogue to fully implement the roadmap,” he said.

Kosovo and Serbia have agreed on the annex to the implementation of the basic agreement on March 18, 2023, in Ohrid, but have so far stalled in its concrete implementation.
