The ambassadors of the European Union have approved the text of the compromise for the liberalization of visas for Kosovo.

This step was taken before the final approval by the Council of the EU.The news was announced by the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union in a tweet.

On November 30, the ambassadors of the EU member states agreed to give the mandate to the European Council to negotiate the visa liberalization process for Kosovo with the European Parliament.

The decision on visa-free movement will be implemented from the date of the start of operation of the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) and in any case no later than January 1, 2024.
