Orion Shima opens the exhibition “This Autumn” with 19 works made in a pandemic

2 years after the exhibition “Between darkness and light”, Orion Shima opens another window of art, trying to break the almost “monumental” indifference, and to connect human communication with nature. 19 works realized in oil during the last two years bring to the “Fab” gallery, the exhibition “This autumn”.
“It is a situation that I follow with a kind of consistency, a relationship that represents almost all of my painting, that I find an inspiration and a motive for research and freedom in it,” said Shima.
With the curator Parid Teferiçi, they build the exhibition in the form of a triptych, where the garden in the first room builds an idyllic situation with nature. While in front of the paintings that convey the individual’s feelings about nature, stands the chamber, where as the artist says, it reveals the stoicism of the scarecrows that remain in the fields, although time passes. This exhibition, recalls in the memory of visitors his past works, and Shima, still stays away from social themes.
“I do not prefer social topics, as I have always considered art as an internal relationship of the individual with himself. “Although, I appreciate and follow colleagues who deliver such topics,” he said.
Shima’s paintings still retain large dimensions, even the motifs of the garden of “this autumn” come in dimensions 3.60 by 2.20 m.
“I prefer the large dimension as a relationship of freedom with myself and I think it goes to the subject I paint,” added Shima.
Again with nature as a subject, during the pandemic the artist has realized another cycle of works which have been exhibited in Berlin. The exhibition “This Autumn”, welcomes visitors until April 3, in the gallery “Fab” that the artist conceives, as one of the few exhibition spaces left to Tirana.
