Kosova President Vjosa Osmani confirmed that Kosova has the full support of the new U.S. administration led by President Donald Trump.

Addressing her absence from Trump’s inauguration ceremony, Osmani explained that, like many world leaders who were invited, she opted to send a lower-level representative. However, she highlighted that she had already met with the new U.S. president during the Paris Summit, where they held substantial discussions regarding Kosova.

Osmani also revealed that over the past year, she has held numerous meetings with Republican representatives, assuring that Kosova will continue to receive strong support throughout Trump’s administration.

She further clarified her absence by stating that a delegation from her office, led by Kosova’s Ambassador to the U.S., Ilir Dugolli, represented Kosovo at the inauguration. “I was invited by members of Congress and the Senate. Since most state leaders were represented by ambassadors, we followed the same protocol. I sent a presidential delegation, led by my chief of staff and foreign policy advisor, along with Ambassador Dugolli, to attend all inaugural events. Many of these activities are still ongoing, including meetings with the delegation I sent. Once these meetings and visits are concluded, we will release a statement to inform the public,” Osmani explained.

Osmani declined to comment on political statements made during the election campaign when asked.
