During her visit to New York, Kosova President Vjosa Osmani met with a senior official from the US Department of State to discuss the vital importance of the US alliance for regional stability and Kosova’s Euro-Atlantic integration.

The meeting followed a substantive phone conversation held days earlier with the same official. Osmani stressed Kosovo’s commitment to strengthen the friendship with the United States, based on trust and mutual cooperation.

She also met with NATO Deputy Secretary General Ambassador Boris Ruge and representatives of the Kosovar diaspora in the US.

The visit comes after the suspension of the strategic dialogue between the United States and Kosova, announced two weeks ago by the US Embassy. Osmani’s meetings aim to address this situation and reaffirm Kosova’s engagement with the US and international allies.
