The Parliament of Kosovo approved today the draft law for the Durrës-Prishtina railway, following the signed a memorandum of cooperation for the construction of this railway line at the joint meeting of the two governments on October 2, 2020 in Tirana.

The members of the Parliament of Kosovo  included in their agenda the review of the Draft Law on the Co-financing Agreement for the Feasibility Study for the Durrës-Prishtina railway line.

The Minister of Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu said that the cost of the feasibility study for the Durrës-Pristina railway line will be 1,980,000 euros.

“This co-financing agreement aims to determine the procedures and share the costs between the two countries for the financing, feasibility study and project idea for this railway line. The total cost for the realization of the feasibility study and the project idea for the construction of the railway line is expected to be 1 million and 980 thousand euros”.
